Audition Master Class

The Ultimate Audition Training

Audition Master Classes are held prior to each Mainstage and Rising Stars production. Performers spend an afternoon with some of CMT's most talented teaching artists and directors learning about the audition process, how to perfect an audition song, how to make the most of a cold reading and how to stand out during a dance audition. All participants take part in a mock audition and receive personal feedback from instructors.

Who Can Attend?

Audition Master Classes are available for Rising Stars (ages 8-13) and Mainstage (ages 14-20) to attend.

We're Giving You Our Full Attention

Our classes are designed to provide students with individual attention. The maximum number of students in any class is 20. Many classes are staffed with teacher assistants, so the ratio of students to teachers is often even lower.

What To Bring

The CMT Rules and Regulations Agreement must be reviewed and signed by both parent and child, then returned to CMT on or before the first day of class. Without these signed documents, we cannot accept your child into our care. Click here to download.

Also, students are asked to wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing that they can easily move around in. Students should plan to bring a notebook and pencil to take notes. If your child has a song that they are planning to sing at an upcoming audition, we would encourage them to bring along the sheet music for that song or a tape or disc of the accompaniment or background music.

All Audition Master Classes are held at the CMT Rehearsal Hall, Studio A.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made prior to the registration deadline will be refunded, minus a $25.00 processing fee. The registration deadlines are set for 5:00 PM, one week prior to each class start date. No refunds will be given after the registration deadlines.
